How to Use--Separately wash the rice and dal. Soak them separately for 4-5 hours or overnight in enough water.
Drain the rice and grind it to a coarse paste in the mixer with a little water.
Drain the dal and grind it to a fine paste with a little water added at a time.
The lentil paste is very fine, whereas the rice paste is coarse.
Grind it until the paste has bubbles in it.
Water should be added as needed, but not excessively.
Combine the rice and lentil paste in a mixing bowl.
Sprinkle with salt.
The consistency of this batter should be thick enough to drop.
Allow the batter to rest for 8-10 hours in a warm location (or overnight).
The batter will rise and sour as it rises.
